Lead Service Line Inventory: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued Lead and Copper Rule Revisions that went into effect December 2021 requiring all Group A water systems to develop and submit a Lead Service Line Inventory to State Agencies by October 16, 2024. This inventory must identify service line material for every connection from the water main to the meter pit (utility owned portion) and from the meter pit to the house (customer owned portion). Over the last year, Spokane County Water District has been diligently reviewing construction records, installation dates, performing distribution system inspections, and using statistical methods with 95% confidence to conclude that we have zero lead service lines present within our water district. For information about the health effects of lead in drinking water or the EPA’s Lead Service Line Inventory requirements, visit doh.wa.gov or EPA.gov, and search “Lead Service Line Inventory”.
Consumer Confidence Reports (CCR’S): Washington State Department of Health Requires that all community water systems provide their customers with a Water Quality Report each year. Here at Spokane County Water District #3, we are committed to supplying safe water that meets and exceeds State and Federal Standards, while providing the highest standards of customer service. We take hundreds of samples each year to ensure your drinking water is safe for consumption. A copy of your annual drinking Water Quality Report for each system we operate can be found below:
